Carat-HD1이랑 ALC889A랑 체감이 별로 없다…

내장 사운드 카드인 ALC889A랑 요 Carat-HD1 스펙이나 리뷰를 보면 상당히 차이가 있어야 하는데 실제로 들어보면 난 잘 모르겠다. 예전에 프로디지 7.1 쓰다가 ALC850으로 잠시 내려 갔을때는 엄청난 체감이 있었는데 이번엔 뭐… 그래도 Carat이 더 좋겠지 하면서 구글링을 하던중에 나랑 비슷한 사람을 발견했다.

Almost for 1 year I have Gigabyte MA770-DS3 motherboard with Realtek ALC889A and just today I tried onboard audio to compare it with Creative Labs Soundblaster X-Fi xTreme Audio PCI card that is based of SB Audigy 2.
Results: With my Beyerdynamic DT880 there is NO DIFFERENCE in SQ. Seriosuly. Nothing I can hear. Bass, mids, highs, everything sounds same. Actually I think I could accuse onboard card to have LITTLE BIT (almost unhearable) more transparency. Only difference is in loudness: Realtek ALC889A on max volume sounds as loud as x-Fi at 33% but it’s still good enough.

익오는 그다지 좋지 않은 평들이 많아서 순수 음감용으론 잘 모르겠음 다만 X-Fi 라는 명칭에 따라오는 각종 기능들이 CPU처리로 한다는 삽질 카드라는 말이 있어서 아쉬움.

낮에 먹은 커피 데미지로 이 시간 까지 잠들지 못하고 있어서 열심히 구글링중인데 역시 사람은 보고 싶은 거만 본다는 이론이 맞는 듯 싶다.

Now hold on. Wouldn’t the more reasonable thing be to try the onboard first, before you write it off? Onboard audio has improved greatly over the years, and many boards now don’t have problems with system noise. Of course it depends on how well the chip circuitry is implemented by the manufacturer, but that’s the reason you try it for yourself.And the 889A is better spec’ed than the Audigy. Same SnR (again, assuming it’s implemented properly), but it doesn’t do the 48khz resampling like the old Creative card do. Plus, Realtek drivers are a hell of a lot better than Creative drivers.

오디지1 보단 낫다 이건가 그래도 이런 글귀들은 그다지 많지 않고 대부분 걍 별도 사카 써라 이런 충고일뿐

@old thrashbarg I have personally had millions of problems with creative software, drivers, hence the reason I cant be bothered seeing if my sound blaster se pci card is better than my boards realtek sound!I agree with points made I have no probs with ALC889A integrated audio for music etc, but it is a bit crackly etc with games, a problem I never had with my creative card!

내장 사운드카드가 좋은거다 라기 보다 Creative 제품이 쓰레기다 라는 분위기로 감 ㅋㅋㅋ 그래도 게임할땐 오디지가 최고지.. 쩝 그래서 읽다가 포기 일단 자고 내일 생각해야겠다.
